Michael Pineiro focuses his practice on complex business litigation, securities and investor fraud, trust and estates disputes, professional negligence, and regulatory litigation. Michael represents plaintiffs and defendants in high-profile civil litigation, and has recovered more than $300 million on behalf of his clients.
Michael has been recognized as a top commercial litigator in Florida by Chambers USA,, where clients and counsel described Michael as “smart and incredibly talented in the courtroom” and “aggressive and tough but also very practical.” Clients also said “Michael is always looking for a creative angle to achieve best outcomes for clients. He is a multifaceted litigator.”
Prior to joining MRP, Michael worked at a global law firm representing clients in securities litigation, government enforcement defense, and complex commercial litigation matters. He also worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Adalberto Jordan, who then served on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Michael served on the Ad Hoc Committee on Rules and Procedures for the U.S. District Court for Southern District of Florida. He was also appointed by then-Governor Rick Scott to serve as a commissioner on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Third District Court of Appeals. Michael was recently appointed by Governor Desantis to serve as a commission on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. Michael was also involved in the legal community as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cuban American Bar Association.
